HAVU managed to qualify for the ROG MASTERS 2017 EMEA finals after defeating PANTHERS 2-0 (16-2 on Train and 16-3 on Cache).
During the group stage, both PANTHERS and HAVU placed second in Group A and B, respectively. Still, the two teams managed to reach the final after prevailing in the semis. PANTHERS stunned LDLC with a 2-1 score, while HAVU beat x6tence in a three-map series.
It all started on Train, HAVU's map pick, with the Finnish squad getting to a flying 13-2 lead by half-time. As Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen and co. switched sides, there was little PANTHERS could do as HAVU were flawless on closing out the first map.
Then, the Finns kept proving their dominance and easily finished off the series, 2-0, with a 16-3 score on Cache, to secure $5,000 and a place in the ROG MASTERS 2017 EMEA finals.
